SOMEBODY

A short feature film, combining original AI-Animation, spoken word, and trance music, inspired by the massacre at the Nova music festival in southern Israel on the 7th of October 2023.

The film is an adaptation of an award-winning short story by clinical psychologist and co-creator Dr. Nir Soffer-Dudek, written after bearing witness to dozens of testimonies from survivors of the massacre as well as members of rescue forces who oversaw identification of the deceased.

It is a compressed 10-minute psychedelic trip, narrated in the first person, depicting the inner world of a young woman, a survivor. Throughout a nightmarish journey between flashbacks, rumination, survivor's guilt, and bereavement, we accompany her attempts to process what she went through and find solace.
